Among the most important decisions that you will make as a parent is choosing a child care provider. Both you and your child will have a special, intimate relationship with the professionals to whom you will entrust your child while you are at work.
To that end, we strive for a sense of extended family in our partnership with parents. We work to support parents who are juggling their roles as family breadwinners and nurturers. And we understand that our relationships with the children entrusted to our care are crucial to their healthy emotional and cognitive growth (for more about – our staff, click here; our philosophy, click here; our curriculum, click here; our enrichment programs, click here).
Helping Your Toddler or Preschooler Adjust to Day Care or Preschool
Our social worker, Terry Becker, has written some helpful tips for dealing with your child’s separation anxiety when he or she first starts in preschool or day care. Here’s a link to her tips on the “Essential Mom’s” website.
Our High Quality Child Care Programs
Our early care and education programs serve children ages six weeks to five years, and our school-age enrichment program serves children in grades K|6. Our Ossining daycare learning environment is enhanced by the rich cultural diversity that distinguishes the Greater Ossining Community and is reflected in both our client families and our staff. We welcome you to explore our website, or to make an appointment to tour the Center.
Our generous tuition assistance policy makes our programs affordable for working families of all income levels. Without tuition assistance, many of our families would have to leave their children in sub-standard child care. Tuition assistance for our low and moderate income working families is provided through the generosity of many individuals and businesses in the community.
Why support tuition assistance at the Ossining Childrenfs Center?
Are We Crazy About Our Kids? The Cost/Benefit Equation explores the economics of investing in high quality early care and preschool. It pays for itself several times over. Watch this documentary and learn!
