Gerri DeSilva, Pre-School Head Teacher and Volunteer Coordinator, knows just what we need and can match your talents and interests with those needs.
Students from Ossining High School, Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, retired seniors, stay-at-home moms, and many others volunteer regularly and with cheerful enthusiasm in a variety of ways. Some examples include:
- Reading to children
- Accompanying classes on field trips
- Office assistance (clerical)
- Playground monitor
- Special project leader (e.g. planting seedlings, crafts projects, etc.)
- Storytelling
- Sharing cultural experiences
- Fundraising (e.g. direct mailings, special event coordination)
- Painting, construction or other specialized services
