We invite you to help OCC realize its mission through a range of donor opportunities:
CASH
Your cash donation will be used to help OCC continue to provide safe, affordable and quality child care. To make an on-line or mail-in donations click on the “Make a Donation” button above.
SECURITIES
When you donate appreciated securities (e.g. stocks, bonds), you do not pay capital gains tax and you may take a federal income tax charitable deduction for the securities' full market value if you held them for longer than 12 months. Please call the Center's Development Office (914－941－0230, x 13) for instructions on making a gift of securities.
PLEDGES
We welcome pledges that are paid over a three to five year period.
MATCHING GIFT and VOLUNTEER INCENTIVE PROGRAMS
Many companies and corporations match their employees’ cash contributions, and provide a donation to organizations where their employees volunteer. You should inquire with your company’s benefits administrator to find out if your employer offers such a program, which stretches your donation to OCC. We will be happy to complete the necessary paperwork.
SPONSOR A CHILD SOCIETY
Our growing "Sponsor a Child" Society honors our donors who make an Annual Gift of $4,000 or more, which underwrites the average partial tuition scholarship for a child in our preschool program.
PLANNED GIFTS and BEQUESTS
Planned Gifts, including bequests, wills, annuities, charitable remainder trusts, life insurance and IRAs, among others, are graciously accepted at OCC. An inquiry about planned giving to the Center's Development Director is held in the strictest confidence, and places you under no obligation whatsoever.
NAMING and MEMORIAL OPPORTUNTIES
Honor a loved one by naming a scholarship fund or special project.
ANNUAL APPEAL
When you respond to OCC’s annual appeal with a gift, your donation is put to good use. Your donation helps cover the cost the OCC’s general operating costs, including administrative staff, insurance, telephone, office supplies and other necessary business expenses.
SPECIAL PROJECT OR FUND
Special projects often require special funds. If you are passionate about an issue, an initiative or have a particular area of interest, then you may wish to donate to an appeal for funding as needs arise.
GIFTS-IN-KIND
Gifts and services given in-kind are a practical way to support OCC. From landscaping, snow removal and construction services to office furniture and equipment, the staff and volunteers at OCC are grateful for gifts that make their jobs easier or supplement our operating budget.
UNITED WAY DESIGNATED GIVING
Your United Way gift can easily be designated to benefit the Ossining Children’s Center. On your donor form, simply indicate OCC as your choice.
As a 501(c) (3) charitable organization, your donation is fully tax deductible as specified by IRS laws.
Please remember that you should always check with your estate planner or tax advisor to find out what type of gift is best for your situation.
